Our Tasmanian Myrtle boards can be used for chopping or cheeseboards.
Once oiled with a food safe oil, the grain in these boards comes up beautifully. Rich in colour, this some of the best Myrtle we have ever seen!
Your Myrtle board must be oiled, any food safe oil except for Olive Oil is recommended. Some examples are: Organ Oil, Grapeseed or nut oils. Give your board a couple of really good coats, and wipe off any excess oil. Wash your board in hot, soapy water and allow to air dry. Please do not wash your board in the dishwasher.
Re-oil your board as needed – you will know when!
The Myrtle used for your board has been milled and air dried by us at Morrison’s Huon Pine Sawmill. We then make the boards onsite at our sawmill, ensuring your product is 100% Tasmanian made.
Please be aware that our products may differ slightly in size and grain. There are no 2 products that exactly the same.
